PTZ stands for Pan-Tilt-Zoom. FireLight™ supports industry-standard PTZ cameras, including those used in drones, vehicle mounts, pole setups, and fixed security networks that support ONVIF or RTSP. It also has bespoke PTZ protocol integration for non-standard cameras.

Can I use PTZ control over a low-bandwidth network?

Yes. FireLight™ is optimized for low-latency control, even on constrained networks such as 4G, satellite, or field mesh systems. Operators can manipulate views without buffering delays.

Can I save and recall specific camera angles?

Absolutely. Our Client application allows for PTZ camera presets. These presets are saved camera positions, including pan, tilt, zoom, and focus settings, that can be recalled with a single command. The presets enable rapid and precise camera position changes with the click of a button.
