Over the last few years, the satellite market has grown rapidly. Many commercial video transmission offerings that at first glance seem to be attractive are, in many cases, not fit for purpose.

When transmitting video over satellite (on land or at sea), the service is not only expensive to rent, but you may well be limited on the amount of bi-directional bandwidth available and experience high latency issues.

Videosoft has developed software specifically for the satellite industry to negate the typical issues that arise when using such networks. Videosoft video compression technology reduces the amount of bandwidth required, we can even transmit live video at data rates as low as 4kbps. At the same time, intelligent transmission protocols reduce latency to a minimum.

All of our solutions will transmit to multiple locations simultaneously, and we offer integration into all the major VMS platforms.
